APPENDIX TO STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE 13 PRINCIPLES OF A MESSIANIC BELIEVER

PRINCIPLE NO. 1

I believe in the One true God, who has revealed Himself as the Creator of the universe and of humanity.  He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. His attributes and his titles are many: He is the eternal, infinite, self-existent, self-revealed “I am the God who always is” as his name יהוה (YHVH) demonstrates.   He is sovereign, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, as well as loving, gracious, good, merciful, faithful.  He is also the most Holy, set-apart from sinful humanity, yet He desires His people to be in relationship with Him.

Isaiah 43:10
“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!" says YHVH. "You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe me, and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.”

THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD:
Job 36:26
"Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable.

Psalm 102:12
But You, O LORD, are enthroned forever, and your fame will endure to all generations.

Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and no one can measure the depths of his understanding.

YHVH is KADOSH (HOLY)
Isaiah 6:3
And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”

1 Samuel 2:2
“There is none holy like the Lord; there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.
