THE DIVINITY OF YESHUA HAMASHIACH

APPENDIX TO STATEMENT OF FAITH
THE 13 PRINCIPLES OF A MESSIANIC BELIEVER
PRINCIPLE NO. 4

I believe Yeshua of Nazareth, called Jesus by many, born of the Holy Spirit and of a Jewish virgin, the seed of King David, is the awaited Messiah, the Anointed One, whom the prophets have made known to the people of Israel.  His Hebrew name Yeshua means “Salvation.”  By believing and trusting in Yeshua, the Anointed One, his death and resurrection, his promise of eternal life, we will be saved.  When Yeshua comes back, he will restore all things. I believe Yeshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one else can get through to the Father except through Yeshua. He is the Mediator between YHVH and humanity.

BIBLE REFERENCES:

Isaiah 9:6
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, El Gibor (Mighty God), the Everlasting, Sar Shalom (Prince of Peace).

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore YHVH himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (YHVH with us).

Matthew 1:23
"Behold! The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel" (which means, "God with us").

Acts 3:18
“But the things which YHVH announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Anointed would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.  Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of YHVH; and that He may send Yeshua, the Messiah appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which YHVH spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.  Moses said, ‘YHVH Elohim will raise up a prophet like me from your brethren, to him you shall give heed to everything He says to you. And it will be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’  And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and his successors onward, also announced these days. It is you who are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which YHVH made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘and in your seed all the families of the earth will be blessed. For you first, Elohim raised up His Servant and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Isaiah 53:5
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

Hosea 6:2
He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:10
He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.

1 Thessalonians 4:14
For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Acts 3:21
Heaven must receive him (Yeshua) until the time comes the restoration of all things (universal restitution), as YHVH promised long ago through his holy prophets.

John 14:6
Yeshua answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Matthew 28:19
"For there is one (Greek “hen”) God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Messiah Yeshua,” 1 Timothy 2:5
